Overview
Garugaru are the main monsters in Wonderful Pretty Cure!. A Garugaru starts in a black and yellow egg form, then hatch into a large, dark animal with a grey and red mask.

Personality
All Garugaru are corrupted forms of animals from the Niko Garden. Since they are still animals underneath, the Pretty Cures avoid fighting them head-on, instead appealing to their original nature through play.
History
In episode 29, when Torame and Zakuro are introduced, the monsters are upgraded to Gaogaon. Torame hatches the monsters from eggs as before, while Zakuro corrupts animals from Animal Town.
